Microsoft is planning new customization options in Windows 10. They will land on the occasion of the deployment of 21H2. The appointment is set for next fall.
We have known for several weeks now that Windows 10 "Sun Valley" will offer a lot of changes and evolutions around the desktop interface. Some of these new features are already available in the latest “builds” published by Microsoft. They are available through the Windows Insider program.
Windows 10 and the "Windows in the spotlight" option
One of the biggest changes is probably the desktop and more specifically the background. There are plans to integrate the "Windows in the spotlight" function. This feature is popular with Windows 10 users.
It currently allows you to enjoy, at the level of the lock screen, new backgrounds from the Bing engine.

Its integration into the desktop brings automatic personalization with the surprise every day of discovering a new wallpaper.
Touch keypad and use of the device
Microsoft will also introduce customization at the touchscreen keyboard. These options allow you to change its appearance. For example, it is possible to modify the color of the keys, of the borders or to manage the opacity of the background and the scale of the keyboard.
Device Usage
The third pane takes the form of a new entry in "Settings". Called “Device Usage”, it offers different profiles in order to optimize recommendations according to usage.

Clearly, Microsoft works on profiles with the key tools and services based on how you plan to use your PC. This ranges from gaming to creation, including entertainment, school, or even work.
Finally to all this is added some modifications to the interface, a new module for the taskbar, and new icons for the file explorer.
