Xiaomi users are still longingly waiting for MIUI 12.5. Now the Chinese manufacturer reveals why the update of the user interface is taking so long.
Users of various Xiaomi smartphones are still waiting for Android 11. We'll tell you what it's all about.
- Android 11 is a big challenge for Xiaomi.
- The stability, performance, and adaptation of third-party applications are the biggest problems.
- When you will receive MIUI 12.5 is currently uncertain.
Xiaomi announced the new MIUI 12.5 user interface back in December 2020, but even the current top smartphone Mi 11 Ultra is not yet delivered with the Android 11- based user interface. Now the Chinese manufacturer reveals why the update is so long in coming.
As the technology blog Gizmochina reports, Android 11 is a big challenge for Xiaomi. The system is more difficult to adapt than previous Android versions.
Above all, the company has difficulties with the performance, stability, and adaptation of third-party applications. Even high-end models can currently only install MIUI 12; there is currently no trace of MIUI 12.5. Due to the number of different smartphone variants, there are four versions of the new Mi 11 alone, customizing the MIUI user interface takes a lot of time.
The manufacturer is working hard on the user interface, but you have to be patient until you can install MIUI 12.5 on your smartphone. It is uncertain whether and when Xiaomi will distribute the new Android 12 operating system.
