Windows 10, the deployment of KB5001649 (bug-free) resumes

Microsoft decides to resume deployment of Windows 10 update KB5001649. It was stopped urgently at the end of last week due to an installation bug.

The update KB5001649 was released on March 18 to correct issues around printing on Windows 10 20H1 and 20H2. However, this hotfix fix encountered installation failures. The situation appears to have been corrected as the deployment has resumed.

KB5001649 is offered on an optional basis. Its weight is, therefore, around 400 MB, if your PC has not been updated during Patch Tuesday in March 2021. Its general availability may take a little time. You must therefore be patient if Windows Update does not offer it immediately.

The various returns are for the moment positive. Clearly, the installation of KB5001649 no longer comes with a bad surprise.

Windows 10 and KB5001649
