The super hit Xiaomi Mi 11 has a problem: a powerful charger sends the smartphone into an endless reboot

The company promises to fix the crash as soon as possible

The flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 11 went on sale in China on January 1 and immediately became a super hit  - 350 thousand devices were bought in just 5 minutes. However, now the "pitfalls" have begun to be revealed.

The super hit Xiaomi Mi 11 has a problem: a powerful charger sends the smartphone into an endless reboot

Users began to complain about the strange behavior of the smartphone when charging. Problems are caused by a charger that is more powerful than the complete one but also produced by Xiaomi under its own brand. When connected to Xiaomi Mi 65W GaN Fast Charger, the smartphone goes into an endless reboot cycle. The problem is present, at least in the stable version MIUI 12.0.12, with which the smartphone comes. Fortunately, as soon as the charger is disconnected, the smartphone returns to normal operation.

Xiaomi's head of software, Zhang Guoquan, said on Weibo that the company's engineers are already investigating the issue. The source, apparently, was a conflict in charging protocols. The fix is currently being tested and should be released "as soon as possible."

Recall that Xiaomi Mi 11 has become the first smartphone that can be bought with or without a charger. As practice has shown, users really need charging complete with a smartphone - only 6% of users chose the option without a charger in the kit. True, some buyers took advantage of the generous offer - they ordered a special Xiaomi Mi 11 kit with a charger for the price of a regular edition, and then returned the smartphone, leaving themselves a 55W gallium nitride charger, which was eventually obtained for a penny.

By the way, Xiaomi Mi 65W GaN Fast Charger with Galium Nitride began to be sold in Russia in December at a price of 2,590 rubles.
