Nvidia RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti will have 4 GB of GDDR6 memory

The launch of the RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti graphics cards is preparing to storm the low-end market within the 'Ampere' series.

Nvidia is preparing the launch of two graphics cards, the RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti, which could be released this quarter or the next. Both graphics cards could be the lowest-performing options for the RTX 30 series.

Both RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti graphics cards will use the GA107 chip and both will feature 4GB of GDDR6 memory running on a 128-bit bus. These specifications were listed by Lenovo in the Legion gaming notebook section. The memory capacity is similar to that of the GTX 1650 and less than the 6 GB of the GTX 1660 model.

Nvidia's RTX 3050 graphics card has a TGP value that varies between 60 and 80 watts and has a Dynamic Boost technology that can increase performance, increasing the TGP by about 15 watts in the Legion laptop. The specs seen are 1695 MHz on the RTX 3050 Ti and 1740 MHz on the RTX 3050.

The Legion laptop saw features an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor and has a 16-inch screen. The graphics performance of both GPUs are unknown, but they may have performance on par with a GTX 1660 and its SUPER version. It is possible that the Ti model can match the performance of the RTX 2060, but these are just speculation.
