MSI is another manufacturer that has just released a new BIOS for its RTX 30 series graphics cards that enables the long-awaited Resizable BAR feature.
Today, MSI has updated its Dragon Center and Live Update applications with which the Resizable BAR function can be activated on the company's RTX 30 series graphics cards, these graphics cards are: RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 3070, RTX 3080 and RTX 3090. Recall that the RTX 3060 already had this feature enabled from launch.
Resizable BAR can improve the performance of a graphics card by allowing better access from the processor to the graphics card's VRAM memory. This helps to improve the frame rate, to a greater or lesser extent depending on the game. We are talking about performance improvements that vary between 5 and 10%. This is great news for gamers who add frame rates at no additional cost.
