Microsoft Edge 90 (Stable) is in the starting blocks with many changes

Just yesterday there was a security update in Microsoft Edge Stable 89.0.774.77 with which two security gaps are closed and the new version 90 is already in the starting blocks as the final version (stable).

Microsoft has already explained some important changes in a post today. The kids' mode comes with this version and the password monitor is now being rolled out in general. Some have had this role since January. In addition, you will now be able to delete all passwords at once in the settings, if you want to.

But that's not all that will be rolled out with this version. So the stable now also get the flyout menu for the downloads at the top of the menu bar and the download is finally no longer displayed at the bottom.

Only the current page can now be printed out in a PDF file. Version 90 also has additional page scaling options when printing. A user-controlled search for autofill suggestions is possible. Even here, if you want to.

In addition, Microsoft Edge gets support for the synchronized browser history. So far, the history was only possible on local data. In addition, improvements in the rendering of fonts are integrated into this version.

Since 37 security holes have already been closed in Google Chrome, Microsoft can of course have fixed them with the new version. But the information comes later.

Other changes that are more likely to affect use in companies:

  • Support of TLS token binding for policy-configured websites
  • Identify network traffic originating from App Guard containers at the proxy level
  • Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection (MDATP) detects threat signals from Application Guard (AppGuard) containers
