FRITZ! Box 6660 Cable receives the final FRITZ! OS 7.26

For the weekend, AVM made the final FRITZ! OS 7.26 available for download to the FRITZ! Box 6660 Cable. In February there was already the 7.24 and now the 7.26. As with the other Fritz! Boxes from AVM, some new features have also been added here.

FRITZ! OS is the software for the FRITZ! Box. Use the online update to easily transfer the latest FRITZ! OS version to your FRITZ! Box. Information about updates for devices that you received from your cable provider can be obtained directly from your cable provider. In this case, updates will be installed from your cable provider.

System:

[1] The not recommended login mode in the home network without a password is no longer supported. For the first access to the user interface after the FRITZ! OS update, the user must assign a FRITZ! Box password (additional confirmation required)

[2] Automatic generation of a user using the fritz naming scheme and a random four-digit number if the login was only performed with a FRITZ! Box password before the update.
