Xiaomi today revealed the financial results for 2020, and the summary was that it managed to sell 146.4 million smartphones, basically, 17.5 percent more than in 2019, although of this amount, only 10 million units belonged to Premium terminals, so it is clear that the main buyer of this brand is looking for very cheap or mid-range devices.
The funniest thing about all this is that Xiaomi considers smartphones that exceed a price of 300 euros Premium, something that would really be the mid-range, while Premium models are usually considered terminals with prices above 700 euros, which is the Price exceeded, by far, by any flagship on the market.
If we focus on smartphones, revenue increased by 24.6 percent, while in general terms, including all its products, net revenue increased by 12.8 percent.
In whole numbers, Xiaomi made 37.4 billion dollars, of which 23.2 billion (62%) belong to its smartphone division, while the remaining amount comes from smart TVs, wearables, etc.
