Winget was last updated in January. At that time with the new uninstall command. Now the Windows Package Manager has been updated to version 0.2.10771.
A new function is the winget import. You can now install multiple packages with one command with a correctly formatted JSON file. "Note: Some packets trigger a reset in the shell or in the terminal, so you will see an incorrect error message. If one of these packages is included in an import, the import command will not terminate unless it is the last installed package."
Well-known packages are:
- Microsoft.PowerShell
- Microsoft.PowerShell preview
- Microsoft.WindowsTerminal
- Microsoft.WindowsTerminalPreview
The telemetry of the Windows package manager can now be deactivated via the winget settings. "The Windows telemetry settings still have priority if they are deactivated."
New function
- Support of non-zero exit codes as success (requires manifest version 1.0)
- Added experimental support for importing multiple packages from one file
- Telemetry opt-out
- Support for Manifest 1.0 schema validation
Bug fixes
- The Experimental Upgrade command now correctly selects the latest version of a package
