Jac Schaeffer, creator of 'WandaVision' explains why White Vision did not meet Wanda in the series finale.
The end of WandaVision answered most of the questions raised by the series. From the reason why Wanda lived in a "television past" to the reality behind the reappearance of that Pietro Maximoff, we recognized from the X-Men movies.
But one of the doubts that remained among many of us who saw the series, was the reaction of White Vision after obtaining all the memories delivered by the version of Vision that lived in the reality created by Wanda, once he managed to convince him that they did not have why to engage in battle.
The absence of the reunion between this new version of Vision and Wanda, after choosing to undo the spell that caused her to lose her husband and children, is one of several bittersweet events that occur at the end of the first season of WandaVIsion.
But if the White Vision has all of Vision's memories and memories, from his birth as Jarvis, Tony Stark's assistant to his two deaths in Wakanda, why didn't he go back to Wanda?
The creator of 'WandaVision' explains the reasons
The answer comes from the hand of the creator and showrunner of WandaVision, Jac Schaeffer, who explained it during an interview with the publication Cinemablend:
There is no scene of where White Vision is after the events in the WandaVision finale because he is not her husband. He is not the man with whom he had children, he is not the one who was in the sitcom world created for him. He's not who he said goodbye to in Wakanda [during the end of Infinity Wars ]. That's just the body and the data it contains.
What I like the most about how we chose to develop the character in the series is that we were very faithful to what Vision is from its roots and what its true identity represents. First, it was a voice like Stark's assistant, then it was an android with a body. Now it is a memory. There is a constant "What am I". It doesn't seem like a tricky way to create a new version of Vision to me. It actually feels very correct. There is a constant reinvention of what its essence really is.
So the chances are that Vision target is "Vision 2.0" with some improvements and without the need for the mind gem. It is his body rebuilt, but with the memories of another. Or at least it is what the creator of WandaVision chose for her series.
It does not mean that in the future the creative managers at Marvel Studios decide to make changes and mount a story arc with which that body will once again be the Vision of Wanda. After all, the post-credit scenes indicated that the multiverse definitely exists where - at least - her children still exist.
