WhatsApp will finally activate the function that allows you to speed up the playback of voice messages. A very welcome and especially necessary feature.
WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will undoubtedly become a favorite of all those people who hate audio messages. Especially those long and endless. Finally, they will allow users to be able to listen to them at different speeds.
That is, we will be able to listen to an audio of, for example, two minutes in just one minute if we choose to play it at twice the speed. This will depend, of course, on how they decide to implement this feature in the future.
The information comes from WABetaInfo, a publication specialized in searching and finding new WhatsApp functions and moving forward, to have a window into the future of the app. They have not yet published screenshots of how the new audio message player will work, but they do clarify that it will be available on both iPhone and Android devices.
The accelerated playback system probably works in such a way that the voice does not become distorted and sharpened, but compensates for it so that it continues to be heard well.

WhatsApp copying Telegram again?
This is one of the many functions that we had already available for years in other instant messaging applications, including Telegram. Is it just another copy by WhatsApp?

More features coming to WhatsApp
The ability to speed up the playback of audio messages is one of several new features that are coming to WhatsApp . In the coming weeks and months they will also activate:
- Send photos that erase themselves . It is a complement to messages that self-destruct, but now it can also be done with images
- Finally, activate the encryption of message backups that are made in iCloud or Google Drive. A security hole that WhatsApp has had for years.
- Merge WhatsApp and Instagram accounts and be able to send messages between the two platforms.
In addition to that, they have improved the security of WhatsApp Web, activated voice and video calls from the desktop and have made the chat archiving system work better so that they are less annoying.
