No time for voice messages? No problem, Whatsapp is currently testing a new feature that will solve this problem once and for all.
Voice messages are both annoying and useful. On the one hand, you don't want to have to listen to a ten-minute voice message, on the other hand, it comes in handy here and there not to have to type in the latest gossip on the keyboard. However, Whatsapp is planning a new voice messaging feature, which is sure to be very popular with all users.
Voice messaging revolution: this is what everyone has been waiting for!
Long, annoying voice messages will soon come to an end on Whatsapp: As WABetaInfo announced on Twitter, Whatsapp is currently working on a new feature for voice messages. Accordingly, users should be able to change the playback speed of voice messages on both Android and iOS devices. This function is already known from many other platforms. Some time ago, Netflix also introduced a similar feature for its streaming customers, with which films and series can be played at different speeds.
The new Whatsapp feature is still under development and is therefore not yet visible to the public, but WABetaInfo is already providing a preview of the new function on Twitter:
Accordingly, Whatsapp plans to introduce three different playback speeds. The screenshots on Twitter show that Whatsapp definitely tests 1.5 and 2 times the playback speed. It is not yet known exactly when the feature will be rolled out for the general public.
