They leak data from the AMD Ryzen 3 5300G, the best low cost gaming CPU

Not all Intel and AMD CPUs can be purchased to assemble into a PC piece by piece, some of them are sold exclusively to computer manufacturers or assemblers. This means that they are not available in stores separately, but in many already built computers. That is why in cases like the AMD Ryzen 5 5300G it is important to know its performance.

The OEM market receives from time to time exclusive processors for mounting on low-cost pre-built PCs, which are unreleased as a standalone product for the end-user.

What is the AMD Ryzen 5 5300G?

The AMD Ryzen 5 5300G is an AMD SoC or APU that will be released shortly by Lisa Su's company. This is not going to be launched as an independent product to the market, but for the OEM market and therefore for assemblers and PC manufacturers as already happened with the AMD Ryzen 3 4300G, which it replaces and was also exclusive to the OEM market.

As part of the Ryzen 5000 SoCs, the 5300G is based on the Zen 3 architecture, but with a configuration of 4 cores and 8 threads of execution with a speed of 3.5 GHz and a Boost speed for the moment unknown. It is therefore a low-end SoC, which is designed to be mounted on low-cost PCs. The G definition at the end of the name indicates that it has an integrated GPU, which is an AMD Vega of 8 Compute Units.

AMD Ryzen 5 5300G performance on CPU-Z

Through a series of benchmarks, it has been possible to know the performance of this new AMD SoC designed for low-cost pre-built computers.

The first benchmark is the performance of the single-core CPU, which has been measured using the CPU-Z benchmark, in which a performance increase of 10.4% can be seen compared to the 4300G. Thanks to the use of the Zen 3 architecture, the 5300G, 553.22 points, surpasses the 3300X which obtains a performance of 528 points, the 4350G with 501 points and the 3100 with 474 points.

In the multi-threaded performance test comparing different 4-core processors from Intel and AMD, the 5300G scores higher, 2985.12 points, compared to the AMD 3300X CPUs which scores 2824 points, 4350G with 2766 points and the 3100 at 2645 points. Within the same test, but compared to Intel CPUs with the same number of cores, it gets a significant advantage compared to the i3-10100 that scores 2641 points, but especially against the i3-9100 that only scores 1761 points in this performance test. .

If we talk about the Cinebench R15 benchmark, the performance of the 5300G is 1117 points, a figure higher than the 957.46 points of 4350G under the same test.

How well does your integrated GPU perform?

The integrated GPU, and therefore within the SoC, has been put to the test with the games Battlefield 4 and Battlefield V. We have to bear in mind that Battlefield 4 is a game that appeared seven years ago and therefore titles with engines have been released more complex graphics. Low BF4 in high graphic mode and at Full HD resolution obtains 47 frames per second, 82 frames per second in the middle and 95 frames in low.

On the other hand, Battlefield V is a more demanding and newer game, where it obtains in the high, medium and low modes the figures of 29, 37 and 48 frames per second respectively. So we are facing a processor more well thought out for gaming with low technical requirements.
