Google will introduce the Pixel 5a, its next budget smartphone, on June 11. That, at least, is what the well-known leaker Jon Prosser says, who in the past has also revealed other details about some Google products.
The "a" variants of the Pixel, remember, have been very well received in recent years. The good performance of the equipment, the integration into the Google ecosystem and, above all, the excellent results of its cameras have made many customers opt for these products instead of the alternatives of Xiaomi, OnePlus or Samsung.
In the Google catalog, in addition, they are products with a lot of weight, since they allow to bring the experience of the equipment made by Google to the masses thanks to their low price.

According to the well-known OnLeaks leaker, the Pixel 5a will feature a 6.2-inch OLED FHD + screen. This will extend to the edges of the terminal, but it will result in minimal perforation in the upper left corner for the front camera. As for the refresh rate of the panel, it is not known if it will have 90 Hz, a characteristic that is becoming common in mid-range mobiles.
One of the key points of the new device would be its camera. The Pixel 5a would have a double rear camera, which is a first for the range, which currently has a single sensor. Specifically, it would be a 12 megapixel main camera and a 16 megapixel ultra wide angle.

At the moment, no data has been leaked about the SoC, RAM or battery capacity of the Pixel 5a, although it would be expected that some characteristics are equal to or superior to those of its predecessor. It is also not known if it will come with support for 5G networks, a connectivity that is slowly making its way around the world.
The dimensions of the phone, finally, would increase slightly in relation to the previous model, remaining at 156.2 x 73.2 x 8.8 mm. The mobile, yes, would retain the 3.5 mm headphone jack and stereo speakers.

Although Google has not made any official announcement, it is curious that the company prepares a device with so many features similar to the Pixel 4a 5G, a terminal presented in September 2020 that users loved both for its price and its camera.
The Pixel series, remember, dates back to 2016. At that time Google launched the Pixel and Pixel XL with the intention of facing the iPhone and Samsung's flagship. These, from the first moment, stood out in the photographic field, which quickly became their hallmark.
However, the Silicon Valley giant decided to modify its strategy and divided the pixel range into two segments: economic and premium models.
