Sega Announces Sharing of "Total War: Rome" Remake Promo Video

Publisher Sega and developer Creative Assembly has announced the Feral Interactive for PC, Mac and Linux introduced the "Comprehensive War: Rome" heavy plate (Total War: ROME REMASTERED). It will be released through Steam on April 29th, priced at $29.99.

"ROME REMASTERED" comes with expanded content of "Alexander" and "Barbarian Invasion". And if you don’t have the original game, the remake also includes the original "ROME: Total War Collection"*.

Picture quality improvement

"ROME REMASTERED" brings modern visual effects to the original game, including optimization of 4K resolution, and support for ultra-widescreen and native ultra-high-definition resolution (UHD). The image quality has also been improved in many aspects of the game, such as remodeled buildings and objects, and environmental effects such as dust clouds and heatwaves. The upgraded battle map is full of newly made high-definition models, and the troops will be more heroic on the battlefield after the re-production of models and materials.

Modern game features

"ROME REMASTERED" has added a lot of modern game functions and improved many existing mechanisms. The camera in the game has been upgraded. Players can perform map rotation camera operations in the campaign mode and can zoom in and out of the camera. The heat map and new icon overlays can now provide information about diplomatic status and security. Information about game mechanics; and in real-time combat, the brand-new tactical map, troop display, and attack range identification will make your command on the Roman battlefield more handy.

Game mechanism upgrade

Now you can expand your army and play as 16 factions that were not available in the original game there are now 38 playable factions in the game! The remake also pioneered the "Total War" series, becoming the first in the series that allows you and your friends to play cross-platform multiplayer games between Windows, macOS, and Linux. The game also added a new type of official: merchant. You can send merchants to various parts of the world to establish trade routes, acquire resources, annex rival businesses to increase your income, and demonstrate the economic strength of factions.
