The Windows 10 21H1 19043 is ready and, like its predecessor, the 20H2 is provided as a small update KB5000736. This also provides the following cumulative updates for Windows 10 2004, 20H2, and the new 21H1.

The fact that this is only a small update is because Microsoft has big changes in the autumn with the Windows 10 21H2. Therefore, the focus is on this version and has provided Windows 10 21H1 19043 as a small update. We have to wait and see what changes will be released by April / May.

Now and then there is a question about what is hidden behind the abbreviations of the ISO files for Windows 10. Here is the "decryption" and explanation of the individual versions.

All ISOs are created using scripts (UUP or Adguard). These scripts download the original files from the MS servers and then integrate, for example, the most important and current updates.

  • Home = Home or also called Core
  • Pro = Pro (Professional)
  • Team = Surface Hub (from Windows 10 20H2)
  • Ent. Vol. = Enterprise Volume Edition
  • Ent. LT. 2019 = Enterprise LTSC based on Windows 10 1809 with all current updates
  • Serv. 1903 Stand. And Datac. = Windows Server 2019 Standard and Datacenter
  • N version = The N version that comes without the media player or the music and video apps, voice recorder, Skype, Windows Hello, Cortana or even the PDF display in Microsoft Edge. These versions require their own key and the Media Feature Pack must be installed later if necessary.
  • Home, Pro, Educ., Pro Educ., Pro for Work. = Home, Pro, Education, Pro Education, Pro for Workstation Also corresponds to the consumer version offered by MS. You can choose between Home or Pro and after installation, you can switch to the other versions with the appropriate key.
  • Pro, Educ., Pro Educ., Pro for Work., Ent. Vol. = Pro, Education, Pro Education, Pro for Workstation, Enterprise - Corresponds to the business version of MS. Here, too, the "virtual" versions are only possible by entering the key after installation
  • Home, Pro, Pro Educ., Pro for Work., Educ., (Team), Rem. Serv., Ent. = Home, Pro, Pro Education, Pro for Workstation, Education, (Windows Team) Enterprise for Virtual Desktops, Enterprise - If this information is visible, then these versions can all be selected during installation.
  • ARM versions - These are only for devices with, for example, a Qualcomm processor. Not suitable for AMD or Intel CPUs
  • Difference: Education and Pro Education: Education is based on Windows 10 Enterprise. The Pro Education is based on the Windows 10 Pro. But both need separate keys.
  • install.wim = If there is no entry after the ISO name, it is an ISO with an install.wim. This is not compressed and can still be edited without a conversion. The ISO is therefore a lot larger.
  • install.esd = If the name install.esd appears here, then the ISO contains a compressed install.wim. The ISOs are also created using the MediaCreationTool. These are a lot smaller because the most important files are compressed and still fit on a DVD. They are full ISO files for the installation.

Note: Close the pop-up window for letsup and then download.

  • Tip: Ventoy - easily create a bootable USB stick with an ISO (multiboot-capable)
  • Note 2: The new Edge is currently not included in these ISOs. This is because Microsoft does not deliver the Edge with the feature update, as was the case with the Windows 10 20H2. He will then be reintegrated later. The advantage here is that if you install the Edge Stable yourself, it can also be uninstalled without problems.
