We talked about Project Hazel, the first smart mask that the Razer people were developing. In January, this was shown as a prototype with a good chance of going on sale, although it was not confirmed if we would see it or not. Finally, Razer has confirmed that Project Hazel is a reality and that it will be released sometime in this year 2021.
The prototype smart mask with microphone, N95 medical-grade respirators, ventilators and wireless charging functions, etc., Project Hazel, is to be launched on the market. This was confirmed by Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan during an interview with Yahoo! Finance.
Razer wants to seize a historic opportunity, now that cloth and disposable face masks have become a part of everyday life due to the pandemic. Razer introduced its mask last January as Project Hazel, although we do not know what the commercial version of the device will be called.
Project Hazel has N95 medical-grade respirators designed to regulate airflow and filter out airborne germs. The respirators have a one-day charge and can be easily removed and recharged with a supplied wireless charger that has a UV light to kill all germs.
The mask has the area of the mouth with transparency to be able to see all our gestures when speaking, in addition, with VoiceAmp technology, we can amplify and improve our voice, something that solves one of the great disadvantages of ordinary masks when we want to communicate.
The RGB illumination is present outside illuminating the bottom of the mask when it is dark and is present in respirators.
