OPPO has presented a striking special edition of one of its devices. It is the new OPPO Reno5 Marvel Edition. Last month, the aforementioned brand phone appeared on Thailand's NBTC website. The certification was an indication that it was coming very soon, and now the Reno5 Marvel Edition has gone official in Indonesia.
The OPPO Reno5 Marvel Edition is similar to the OPPO F11 Pro Avengers Edition that was released a couple of years ago. The new limited edition is based on the OPPO Reno5 4G that was launched in December 2020.
All about the new OPPO Reno5 Marvel Edition
The recent special edition launched by the brand features a highly personalized design with a rather striking external appearance. Its customization is not as different from the original model as in the case of the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Edition, but it does integrate a lot of distinctive design elements to make it differ significantly from the phone on which it is based.
The back of the Oppo Reno5 Marvel Edition features the Avengers logo on a circular metal plate placed in the central area of the device. The smartphone also offers a two-tone finish. Its back features the Marvel logo and the company logo. The camera module maintains its original glass-covered finish.
The included protective sleeve is also personalized with the Marvel logo. Unlike the F11 Pro, this time all the accessories included in the box are themed. That means the standard earbuds, and even the SIM ejector tool comes in a matching design.
The phone will be available for a price of 5,700,000 IDR ( about 330 euros or $ 395 to change ). There are still no details of its possible international availability.
Specifications and Features
Apart from the appearance, its specifications are the same seen in the OPPO Reno5 4G. The device features a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD + resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a high refresh rate of 90Hz. The phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor built into the panel.
Under the hood, the terminal is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 720G chipset (being the 4G LTE variant). The hardware is completed with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. Its capacity is expandable thanks to a MicroSD card slot.
