After two months, Intel has made a new WLAN (Wi-Fi) and Bluetooth driver available for download. The new version 22.40.0 for both drivers fix some problems.
Wi-Fi (WLAN) 22.40.0
- A mobile device and the PC create a multi-screen connection on the wrong frequency band (e.g. 2.4 GHz).
- Windows Stop Error (BSOD) due to a stack overflow error.
- 802.11g power throughput may decrease and not return to normal if received signal strength fluctuates.
- The network connection can break off shortly after a mobile hotspot connection is established with the PC.
- Windows Stop Errors (BSOD) related to the Intel Wireless Driver can occur.
- The Intel PROSet / Wireless Software 22.40.0 has been updated to include functional and security updates. Users should update to the latest version.
Bluetooth driver 22.40.0
- Starting with driver 22.40.0, Intel has updated the following products from Bluetooth 5.1 to Bluetooth 5.2: Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200, Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 (Note: This upgrade does not introduce any new features. It does, however, implement corrections such as the Bluetooth 5.2 specification).
- When a video is playing after a Skype call, sound may be disrupted on some systems.
- The Intel Wireless Bluetooth 22.40.0 driver has been updated to include features and security updates. Users should update to the latest version.
