The Rocket Lake-S processors are due to launch in about a week and are already in the hands of many retailers and individual users. The YouTuber called Vassi Tech has received its Intel Core CPU 11th generation (Core i9-11900K), checking the strange and exotic design of the box.
The video shows an unboxing with the strange packaging of the Intel i9-11900K processor. This model will be the only one to use this irregular and angular exterior case design, the rest of the Rocket Lake CPU family will use more traditional rectangular cases.
Intel often wants to highlight top-of-the-line processors and this design goes in that direction, as it did with the Core i9-10900K or i9-9900K.
Beyond the design of the box, there is nothing else to highlight, beyond some stickers with the Intel logo, the instruction manual and little else. As usual in unlocked processors, it does not come with a refrigerator by default, so we will have to make that extra outlay if we do not have another one from some previous equipment.
A curious detail is that at the top of the box it is mentioned that Intel is a partner of the Olympic Games that, for now, will begin on July 23 without an audience. We say 'for now' because with the current pandemic this date seems to be a bit up in the air.
The 11th Gen Rocket Lake-S processor family is officially launching on March 30, in hopes of beating the Ryzen 5000 processors on the desktop. We will keep you informed.
