Intel confirms its Rocket Lake-S (11th Gen) processors will go on sale March 30

Through an official statement to the German portal HardwareLuxx, Intel has confirmed that the German store Mindfactory has been selling 11th Generation Core processors before their official launch. Intel has not confirmed whether the store is directly responsible for the breach of the embargo date, which could suggest that a mistake was made at another level of the supply chain.

The CPU maker says embargo agreements are always taken seriously and Intel could take concrete action:

"We take our embargo agreements very seriously. We are aware that a retailer is selling non-released products and we are following up.

We cannot comment on the specific actions of the retailers. We have ongoing conversations with our partners, which are confidential as part of our policy. We take our embargo agreements very seriously and are following up, "said an Intel Germany spokesperson as revealed by @aschilling , editor at HardwareLuxx.

These " concrete actions ", from what we already know from the past, when we have filtered reviews, imply fines that are around 200,000 euros or limit the stock of products, although, given the current situation of Intel, it cannot afford to punish to one of the most important stores in the country, since that would tip the balance in favor of AMD, which if it already offers a much more competitive product in general, this situation would not do anything good to anger its partners.

Additionally, it is confirmed that the Intel Rocket Lake-S processors will go on sale next March 30, the same day and time that the reviews are expected to come out, while pre-purchases will start on March 16. March.
