The Intel 11th-generation Core desktop processor (Rocket Lake-S), which is scheduled to be launched in March, seems to have been completely sneaked away. It is said that in Europe, the Core i7-11700K has even reached the hands of consumers.
A few days ago, some media gave out the models and specifications of the 11-generation Core Desktop i7/i9 family products. Note that the table is based on the B0 stepping product. In theory, the retail version that is finally listed may be slightly different in frequency.
It is reported that Rocket Lake is the biggest change in Core desktop processors in the past 6 years, including native support for PCIe 4.0, a significant increase in IPC compared to Skylake (18%+), etc.
It can be seen that Core i7 will include 11700K, 11700KF, 11700, 11700F and 11700T, i9 will include 11900K, 11900KF, 11900, 11900F and 11900T, a total of ten.
The flagship model i9 11900K has a full-core frequency up to 4.8GHz, and a single-core/dual-core turbo frequency up to 5.3GHz.
In terms of power consumption, the energy-saving version with the T suffix is only 35 watts, and the non-locking frequency version with the K suffix will touch 125 watts.
The industry’s core shortage problem is plagued by many customers of TSMC and Samsung, and AMD is among them. Intel’s situation is much better. The 11th-generation Core Rocket Lake may have a greater market impact on Zen3 than expected.
