The Microless store goes ahead by listing a Palit CMP 30HX, the first custom GPU in NVIDIA's mining line. It costs more than $ 700 and its hash rate is 26 MH / s, in addition to being equipped with 6 GB GDDR6. This may not be the final price of the NVIDIA CMPs that come out.
NVIDIA leaves it to custom graphics card builders to list the models at the price they agree to. The first news about the price of these GPUs comes from Asia, specifically from the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East of that area, which is where Microless is established. It has listed this Palit CMP 30HX at a pretty high price, considering its gaming performance.
Palit CMP 30HX for sale for more than € 600 at change
The custom graphics card for mining has been exposed to about 2650 AED, which works out to about $ 721 or € 602. This is the GPU less powerful than NVIDIA CMP, the 30HX, based on the chipset Turing TU116-100. It is equipped with 1408 CUDA cores, 6 GB GDDR6 at 14 Gbps and base and turbo frequencies of 1530 MHz and 1785 MHz, respectively.
In specifications, the analog graphics card would be the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER, but this 30HX comes without video output ports, so it cannot be used for gaming. What matters is its hash rate in Ethereum, and this reaches 26 MH / s, but this GPU can give more profitability thanks to its lower power consumption.
Regarding consumption, it comes with an 8-pin PCIe connector and its TDP would be about 125 W, handling at a power very similar to the high-end RTX 3000 Mobile. In the case of Microless, it offers a 1 year warranty on this GPU.
It's expensive? Well, be careful with Microless prices, since we have done a quick investigation and we have verified that most of the components come with a slight surcharge if we compare prices with Spanish stores.
It is early to say that the price of this GPU is expensive, but it is striking that this store in the United Arab Emirates already lists it and puts it on retail sale. To say that everyone can buy this Palit CMP 30HX since it offers its eCommerce service worldwide. Therefore, we have decided to simulate the purchase of this GPU and the result has been the following.
We would have to pay for it in dollars and the shipping would be borne by DHL, costing $ 28.23. Buying it today, we would have it at home in 2 weeks for a total price of $ 752.07, about € 631 to change. Without a doubt, it is a very important price to have such a “humble” hash rate.
The "catch" is just thinking about the hash rate: you also have to take GPU consumption into account. In this sense, the RTX 3000 or 2000 have consumption that can exceed 300 W at full load. This high consumption reduces the profitability of mining 24/7, something that is equated with the low TDP of the NVIDIA CMP.
What do you think of this GPU? Do you think what will be cheaper in Europe?
