Briefly informed: Tomorrow Mozilla will distribute the updated Firefox 87.0 and 78.9 ESR via the update function. Both can be installed today.
We will of course deliver the list of updates later. Security problems that have been resolved will certainly also be found there. A new function was tried out in the beta. "Find in Page" can now display markers next to the scroll bar that corresponds to the position of the hits.
The backspace key has also been deactivated as a navigation shortcut for the back navigation key when filling out forms. “To re-enable the backspace key combination, you can change the about: config setting browser.backspace_action to 0. Alternatively, you can use the recommended keyboard shortcut Alt + Left Arrow (Command + Left Arrow on Mac)."
- Removed some elements from the library button that were not used often or that have other access options in the browser.
- We have simplified the Help menu by reducing some superfluous entries or entries that refer to support pages that can also be reached via the entry "Get help".
- We have greatly simplified the "Web Developer" menu.
