Also this week the Epic Games Store presents a title from its free games series. The real-time strategy game Wargame: Red Dragon can be downloaded for free until March 11, 2021. Then the science fiction builder Surviving Mars joins the list of free titles in the Epic Games Store. Wargame: Red Dragon was developed by Eugen System and first published in April 2014. This is the sequel to Wargame: European Escalation, which was released in 2013. With the successor, players have the choice between 17 playable parties, which come up with more than 1,450 different units. The factions were divided into Blue and Red. The individual campaigns depict fictitious conflicts which, however, are based on real events. A total of four campaigns were available for the release. The main game was expanded to include Second Korean War - 1992 with a free DLC.
In Surviving Mars, the players try to colonize the planet Mars. In addition to the required infrastructure, this also includes responding to the needs of the population. The Martians expect sandstorms or meteor showers. Before starting a mission, a sponsor on earth must first be selected. This also has an influence on the degree of difficulty of the order. It is also important to check the staff. Technologies such as cyborgs or drones are also available. A total of 19 different areas can be explored. These include the fields of physics, robotics, and engineering. Furthermore, one or the other secret can be discovered on the red planet.
