Months ago there were the first rumors about a game from the Crash Bandicoot franchise, the most famous marsupial in the gaming world. Fortunately, King (the same distributor for the famous Candy Crush Saga ) finally confirmed the existence of the title, and, even better: revealed its release date. Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! will arrive on Android and iOS mobile devices on March 25.
“Crash Bandicoot is back, this time on the run and on the mobile device! That means high-speed battles on Wumpa Island to save the multiverse from the evil Dr. Neo Cortex; smash boxes, dodge obstacles and find your favorite characters. And that's not all! Take on your favorite Crash bosses, earning rewards, building bases and creating weapons, all with a customizable Crash! ”Says the official description of the work.
It is, as you can see in the trailer, another game in the style of an endless runner, popularized by games like Subway Surfers and Temple Run. As Crash, your objective is to run through different scenarios known to fans of the franchise, dodging a series of obstacles, collecting power-ups and facing classic enemies that always appear in the series' chapters. We will also have a base-building mechanic to enrich the player's experience.
The trailer description that reveals the release date mentions “more than 100 hours of gameplay, more than 50 level bosses and 12 different environments”. Remember that the latest installment of the franchise was Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, released in October 2020 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S. The marsupial has appeared sometimes on mobile devices, but in the spin-offs race Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart.
