'Call of Duty: Warzone' hackers would be causing games to end when they want

In recent weeks, reports of hackers ending games of Call of Duty: Warzone when they want to have increased.

Despite the constant waves of bans Activision has launched against Call of Duty: Warzone cheaters, these users keep coming back with the same intentions. The most worrying thing, however, is that they increasingly use more aggressive practices that harm the experience of the rest of the players. Imagine that you are in a game and the hackers, whenever they want, decide to end the game for everyone.

Is this possible? Apparently… and it starts to happen more frequently. In recent weeks, reports of games ending suddenly have increased. Although at first it was believed that everything was due to a connection problem with the Warzone servers, later evidence emerged that it was an intentionally provoked situation.

A group of users who were broadcasting their game through Twitch managed to capture the exact moment when a game ends suddenly. They were facing another squad and, when the members of the latter begin to die and lose their advantage, the game ends mysteriously showing the death chamber. The latter does not even happen when a game in Warzone concludes. Thus, those affected quickly suspect that the server has been tampered with.

Why is it suspected that they are hackers? If you looked closely, their names use symbols that express a racist term. This is a fairly widespread practice among hackers, as they are not afraid of being discovered. It would be too much of a coincidence that the server had crashed the moment a team of cheats started dying. After all, it must be very annoying to lose despite the advantages they have thanks to cheating.

'Warzone' hackers are a headache for Activision

Neither Activision nor Raven Software has commented on this, but for the good of the Warzone community, we hope they will take appropriate action as soon as possible. In early February, Activision noted that they were working not only on expelling hackers but also on identifying those who sell the tools that allow their system to be breached. However, it is clear that their efforts have not been sufficient.

“We continue our efforts to identify and address cheat vendors, who distribute unauthorized third-party software to modify games or hack. We are committed to providing a fun and fair experience for all players. This is the focus for our security and technology teams."
