Asus expands its portfolio of 'gaming' monitors with the ROG Strix XG43UQ, which has a 43-inch 4K resolution screen.
The Asus ROG Strix XG43UQ is designed for gamers who require a magnified view without sacrificing resolution or smooth movement. The display is capable of delivering a 144Hz refresh rate and 4K resolution. Additionally, it supports FreeSync Premium Pro and Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (VRR with motion blur reduction).
The monitor benefits from HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports, which enable the delivery of 4K, 144 Hz resolution, plus a low gray-to-gray response time of 1 ms.
The Asus ROG Strix XG43UQ seems to offer one of the best HDR specs on the market for gamers, with a DisplayHDR 1000 certification. The contrast ratio is 4000: 1 and it can reach a maximum brightness of 1000 cd / m². HDR lighting has to be quite a sight on this monitor.
The color gamut is 90% for the DCI-P3 color space and there are two USB 3.0 connections, a 3.5mm jack for audio, and two built-in 10W speakers. The monitor stand is not adjustable but can be replaced by a 100mm VESA mount.
The ROG Strix XG43UQ flat panel monitor should cost approximately 2,000 euros in Europe, which is a higher cost than what we can find with the 48-inch LG CX of 1,390 euros. We will keep you informed.
