The new ARCTIC Alpine 23 CO CPU Cooler appears to be one of the most economical replacements for AMD's benchmark coolers.
ARCTIC Alpine 23 CO, Small and Affordable AMD CPU Cooler
We are not very sure if these refrigerators are really more efficient than those that come from reference, the most possible is that they are not, but without they are quite cheap and smaller, so they could be interesting to assemble some compact equipment.
ARCTIC adds a 90 mm fan with double ball bearings and the height of the cooler is only 6.5 centimeters. The manufacturer fully relies on the added fan, by granting a 6-year warranty.
As such, it doesn't appear to be designed to replace the coolers that AMD ships with Ryzen processors currently, but rather to be able to put together a compact rig with a smaller cooler, but still good enough to keep temperatures at bay.
The aluminum heatsink has 50 fins and its weight is 275.5 grams. We are not sure how much is the maximum TDP that this heatsink can cool, but it would not be advisable to use with processors with a predetermined TDP of more than 65W. The fan can rotate at a speed between 1000 and 2000 RPM.
Finally, ARCTIC uses an MX-2 thermal paste that is already applied under the base. The price of the ARCTIC Alpine 23 CO is only 11.99 euros, a very economical value. We will keep you informed.
