A few days ago, Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Guo released the latest report, predicting the three generations of iPhone 2021-2023. It seems that Liu Haiping, which has been widely criticized, is finally going to disappear. It just has to wait for three generations.
There has been news before that Apple is developing a new iPhone that will be equipped with an under-screen fingerprint solution, but other news about the new phone has been confusing.
Now, Guo Mingchi finally gave some exact information. Apple is indeed developing a new iPhone, which will change to an under-screen fingerprint solution, but the new phone may not advance to the market so quickly because it needs to integrate related technologies, and the overall effect of the new phone is a true full-screen design ( No punches/bangs).
In fact, before this, there have been many media reports that Apple is considering adding features to the new iPhone. In situations where Face ID is not optimal, such as when wearing a mask, the auxiliary Touch ID (under-screen fingerprint) option will be very useful.
According to Guo Mingchi’s analysis, the new iPhone in 2021 cannot use the upper screen and lower screen fingerprint solution. The main change in appearance is that the area of the bangs is further reduced; by 2022, at least the high-end models will abandon the bangs for the first time and use perforated screens. , But if the yield is sufficient, it is not ruled out that all punch-hole screens will be installed; and until 2023, Apple's mysterious new iPhone will be unveiled.
In Guo’s analysis, based on Apple’s development process, if iPhone 11 is discontinued in 2022, Apple will launch a new model with a 6-inch LCD screen, support for Face ID face recognition, and a price of less than $600 in the following year. Compared to the iPhone 11, it mainly upgrades the processor and supports 5G.
If the development goes smoothly, Apple will finally abandon the notch screen and the digging screen on the new high-end models in the second half of 2023 and use a true full screen, as well as under-screen fingerprint recognition and a periscope telephoto lens.
Finally, with regard to the folding screen iPhone, Apple has not officially opened an iPhone design with a flexible OLED screen. If the key technology and mass production problems of folding screens can be solved in 2021, a folding screen iPhone may be released in 2023, with a screen size of about 7.5-8 inches.
Guo Mingchi’s predictive analysis has always been relatively accurate, and the credibility is still relatively high, but the fingerprints under the screen and the folding iPhone have to wait two or three years, which is too long.
