Some WhatsApp users may have been surprised in recent days. The company decided to suspend the accounts of all those who access the messaging network with unofficial applications and warned that, if they do not download the official application, this suspension will be permanent.
In a new update to the temporarily suspended accounts section, WhatsApp reported that "if you received a message within the application notifying you that your account is temporarily suspended, it means that you are probably using an unauthorized version of the application".
The company cites applications such as WhatsApp Plus, GB WhatsApp, and all that are capable of moving WhatsApp conversations from one phone to another since they are “altered” versions of the same application and violate the company's terms of service.
In view of this situation, WhatsApp asks users who have seen their accounts suspended to download the official version of the application to continue using it. And he warns: otherwise, he will suspend all these accounts permanently.
To download the official version, WhatsApp provides a link to download it and recommends that users save their conversation history first so they don't lose it. The company explains, step by step, how to keep all conversations in the official app and overcome, once and for all, the problem of having the account suspended.
