AI will create a digital copy of the YouTuber. Real characters then just need to enter text for AI to speak, instead of having to shoot and edit videos.
The project is being tested by Hour One, an AI company called Hour One, in collaboration with YouTuber called Taryn Southern. Southern is known for its inspirational music videos and storytelling. Her work will likely be replaced by a "copy" of her own artificial intelligence, with the ability to automatically generate bulk videos.
In order to create a digital copy of himself, Southern needs to load data for AI to learn. She was brought to the front of a studio to record on a green screen, to film the angles of her face, and was asked to sing and say some sentences.
The process of creating a digital copy of YouTuber |
According to PetaPixel, this whole process takes about 7 minutes. After that, users just need to send the speech in text form to the system. The AI will automatically reproduce as a video with an image of Southern speaking or singing. This YouTuber will not need to record or record each video, but still, guarantee to produce hundreds of videos in minutes.
According to Hour One, this could be the future of digital content. Citing experts, the company said that in the next 5-7 years, 90% of video content will be created by computers instead of cameras. After creating a digital copy, users will be able to do the vlog without a camera or microphone.
With YouTubers, Hour One thinks that they can minimize the time and cost of videos because there will be no need to spend time beautifying in front of the camera or going back and forth many times. In addition, AI can support conversion to many languages, making video popular around the world.
However, this company admits that the above development is only highly effective for some types of content on YouTube, such as news or video storytelling, presentations ..., can not be applied to the content yet, such as drama, comedy video ... Facial expressions are not diverse yet but will be improved in the near future.

It only takes about 7 - 10 minutes to collect data and create a digital replica of humans.
However, this raises concerns about the technology being able to create digital copies of people and perform the impersonation. According to experts, the system still needs accurate data from people. YouTubers like Taryn Southern need to provide the right images and voice, and the system can create copies of them. Compared to "deepfake", Hour One's technology is claimed to create original content as being spoken by real people, instead of taking the target's face and "covering" the existing footage.
This tool is still in the development stage, not yet officially commercially deployed.
