The Mexico City Attorney General's Office detained Ricardo "N" (Rix) after the accusations of sexual abuse against him.
Ricardo González, better known as Rix, was arrested on Thursday by agents of the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City for his probable participation in the crime of attempted aggravated rape. As we told you a few weeks ago, Nath Campos, also YouTuber, revealed that he was a victim of sexual abuse by Rix. Campos filed a complaint with the authorities, who finally arrested the alleged perpetrator.
"The person mentioned in this communication is presumed innocent and will be treated as such in all stages of the procedure, as long as his responsibility is not declared by means of a judgment issued by the jurisdictional body, in the terms indicated in the National Code of Criminal Procedures" mentioned the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City. At this moment, Ricardo "N" (Rix), 29, is being held in the Oriente Prison.
Ricardo "N" will remain at the disposal of a control judge, who will determine his legal situation for allegedly having committed a crime of sexual abuse. According to the investigation folder of the aforementioned agency, on June 18, 2017, Nath Campos was at a meeting in which he ingested alcohol in the company of other people, including Ricardo "N". At his home, the victim fell asleep and, upon awakening, observed that Ricardo "N" was naked by his side. The investigation adds that "possibly he touched her of a sexual nature."
The video of Nath Campos accusing Rix
It was on January 22 when, through a video, Nath Campos told her story of abuse. At the time of writing this post, such material already has more than 13 million views on YouTube. The YouTuber decided to break the silence and tell that she was a victim of abuse by Rix in 2017. Unfortunately, Campos received criticism for not making the report earlier and even for having ingested alcohol.
In an interview, Mariel DomÃnguez, a member of the feminist collective Luchadoras, explained that the attacks against Nath Campos are a reflection of the patriarchal system and gender violence. “Why didn't you report it before? Why did you continue to work in the same company as your alleged abuser? And without any questioning towards the alleged rapist "
