The Sony scored for this Thursday (25) the next State of Play, an event that presents new games you are working. In a statement, the company revealed that the presentation will be entirely focused on games - that is, no peripherals, such as the PlayStation VR.
The State of Play will take place from 7pm on Thursday and will be about 30 minutes long. To watch, you can access the official PlayStation channel on YouTube or check out the presentation via Twitch.
The company revealed that 10 PlayStation 4 and 5 games will be shown. This includes some ads, as well as game updates already shown last year by Sony.
What to expect
Taking into account what was shown last year, we can expect something related to 'Horizon: Forbidden West', 'Gran Turismo 7' and even an edition of ' Grand Theft Auto 5 ' for PS5. It is also expected that some news about 'God of War: Ragnarok' will be shown.
'Play at Home'
In the early weeks of the Covid-19 pandemic, several entertainment companies took action to make social isolation more tolerable. One of them was Sony, which with the “Play at Home” initiative offered free games to all PlayStation 4 owners, regardless of whether they are Plus subscribers or not.
A year later, with more than 2.4 million killed by the new coronavirus, several countries undergoing a second wave and vaccination already started, the company wants to reinforce the importance of mitigation measures. That is why, starting in March, there will be a new round of “Play at Home”.
"We are all hopeful that a light at the end of this long Covid-19 tunnel is emerging, thanks to the tireless work of the medical community and people around the world," wrote Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) President Jim Ryan. "Currently, having something to motivate us to maintain social distance is very useful, so we are happy to offer a large selection of games," he added.
As of March 2, 'Ratchet & Clank' for PS4, which costs R $ 79.90, will be available for free download from PlayStation Store. The game can be redeemed until April 2 - “after you redeem the game, it will be yours forever,” says Ryan. The initiative runs until June.
