The Radeon RX 6700XT is going to be launched on March 3, but it will not be accompanied by its younger sister, the RX 6700 (non-XT).
According to the latest information from Cowcotland, the Radeon RX 6700, based on the hip Navi 22, is not going to be released on March 3, but at a later date. In this way, on March 3 we are only going to see the announcement of the RX 6700XT with the Navi 22 chip used at 100%.
For its part, Radeon RX 6700 is going to use the Navi 22 chip somewhat reduced in features, although the number of cores that this model will have with respect to the RX 6700XT, which has 2560 cores, is really unknown.
Currently, AMD's launch schedule could be as follows; On March 3 we will have the details and the announcement of the RX 6700XT, which will be available for purchase on March 18. The RX 6700 was scheduled to launch on March 15, but this would have changed in the last few days, so we will have to wait, perhaps, until the end of March or the beginning of April.
One of the biggest concerns with this release, beyond performance, is the initial stock that you are going to see. According to Cowcotland, only in France AMD will send 100 reference graphics cards to merchants. This amount is very small, although custom models are not counted. Stock is expected to be higher than with the RX 6800.
The graphics card is going to feature 6GB of GDDR6 memory, which is half of the XT variant with 12GB. We will keep you informed.
