The PS5 signed Caviar finally costs 499,000 euros! Several weeks after the announcement of this ultra-limited edition, the Russian jeweler lifted the veil on the selling price of the console covered with 18-carat gold. For smaller purses, Caviar also offers PlayStation 5 covered with carbon or alligator leather… for several thousand dollars.
At the end of December 2020, Caviar, the Russian jeweler known for his extravagant creations, announced the creation of a fully covered PS5 covered in 18 karat gold. In detail, 8 18-carat gold plates cover the Sony machine. “The inspiration for the designers comes from the unique geometry of the gold ore and the graceful and beautiful contours of the rock. That's why the console is called Golden Rock ” explains Caviar on its website.
Unsurprisingly, Caviar applied the same logic to the wireless DualSense controller that comes with the PS5. On the other hand, the controller escapes the thick layer of gold of the PS5. The jewelers were content to cover the DualSense with crocodile leather “for a real tactile pleasure”. This edition is limited to 9 copies.
Caviar reveals the price of its ultra-limited edition ps5 and it is cheaper than expected!
More recently, Caviar revealed the selling price of the PS5 Golden Rock: 499,000 euros, or half a million. It is, therefore, less expensive than expected. In view of the price of gold per kilo, we initially counted on a price of 1.5 million euros. As a reminder, the PS5 is available in two versions. A standard version with an integrated disc player at the price of 499 euros and a Digital edition without a player at the price of 399 euros.
For less fortunate buyers, Caviar also offers two other customizations of the PS5. The jeweler is indeed marketing a PS5 entirely covered in alligator leather (and a few pieces of gold anyway) at a price of 8,140 dollars. Again, this edition is limited to 99 copies. Finally, the Russian-based brand has also launched an all-carbon PS5 limited to 99 pieces for the modest sum of $ 5,830.
