MSI presents its RTX 3060 GAMING X graphics card that uses a Torx 4.0 dual fan design, which is based on the GA106 chip with 3584 CUDA Cores.
The RTX 3060 GAMING X is featuring Twin Frozr 8 cooling with Torx 4.0 fans. MSI decided to add two fans, which should be enough to cool this mid-range graphics card.
The graphics card requires 6 + 8-pin connectors to work with a TDP consumption of 170 W. These values have not changed with respect to the reference, despite the fact that we have higher clock speeds. The RTX 3060 GAMING X comes with a boost clock speed of 1837 MHz, which is about 60 MHz higher than the benchmark and about 15 MHz lower than the GAMING X TRIO model.
Aesthetically it is a very online series GAMING X of MSI with hexagonal lines and small slits illuminated ARGB. The PCB is also slightly longer than the reference model, but shorter than the heatsink.
The memory capacity is 12 GB of GDDR6 type @ 15 Gbps speed. The memory modules seem to be the Samsung K4ZAF325BM-HC16 with 2 GB of capacity for each one.
The graphics card RTX 3060 from Nvidia will launch the market on February 25 and will be available only for custom models from manufacturers, there will be no reference model for sale.
