Intel NUC equipped with Core i3-1115G4 for less than € 350

The Japanese PC Shop Ark store has leaked a photo of an Intel NUC barebone equipped with a Tiger Lake i3 (i3-1115G4), characterized by coming in a 10nm SuperFin process, as well as having 2 cores, 4 threads and offering a frequency from 1.70 GHz to 4.1 GHz.

What makes it even more interesting is its TDP: 15 W, ideal for those who are concerned about consumption or looking for efficiency. The main model of the news would be the first Intel NUC that would be powered by an 11th generation laptop processor.

Being a portable processor, the i3-1115G4 comes with integrated Intel Iris X graphics, ready for 4K resolutions and compatible with HDR. For more details, it supports HDR Dolby Vision + Dolby Atmos 3D. As for gaming, we can play at 60 FPS in 1080p in some titles, and the Xe architecture makes this possible.

In other words, we will have an M.2 slot (2280 format) that will make use of the PCIe 4.0 x4 interface, ideal for a PCIe 4.0 SSD. In addition, the Intel mini PC will offer 2 more M.2 slots: one for Wi-Fi cards (type 2230) and another for another PCI 3.0 SSD (type 2242). Also, we will have a bay to install a 2.5-inch SATA SSD.

On the other hand, it comes with 2 USB 4 type C ports that are compatible with Thunderbolt 4 and Thunderbolt 3. There will be no shortage of 2 high-speed USB-A 3.2 ports, but it is not specified what technology they will have. Of course, this NUC carries the latest in connectivity thanks to its Intel Ethernet Controller i225-LM or WiFi 6 AX201 network adapter.

According to Intel specifications, its Type-C connections work as DisplayPort 1.4a, while its HDMI connection is 2.0b. This will allow video output from up to 4 different displays.

To say that we will be able to take advantage of the novelties of the Intel Tiger Lake platform by means of 2 RAM SO-DIMM DDR4-3200 slots whose maximum supported capacity is 64 GB.

There are rumors about a possible delay in the launch, materializing this in the second quarter. However, it is pointed out that Intel has made room for boards with an Intel 500 chipset and there should be no problem, although we already know how logistics works since COVID-19 arrived.
