Improve Your CPU Overclock With AORUS WaterForce X AIOs

Gigabyte Technology today announced the launch of a new series of liquid cooling heatsinks under the umbrella of its AORUS gaming division. These are the AORUS Waterforce X Series, which offers three radiator sizes (240, 280 and 360 mm) and which, according to the manufacturer, improves all the aspects and functions of the other products they had in their catalogs, such as a larger tube diameter (7.8 mm) that improves flow by 37%, or its ceramic shaft pump that optimizes durability and heat dissipation.

Leaving aside the improvements (which we are going to talk about next), without a doubt this new family of AIO heatsinks stands out for the LCD screen integrated into the water block, in the purest NZXT style that shows information about what is happening in the system, like the temperature of the processor for example. This is a huge draw for gamers and enthusiasts who always like to have their hardware monitored at a glance.

Waterforce X is more performance, silence and durability

Processors with many cores are already the norm in the high-end range of processors, but many cores and high speed are usually synonymous with more heat generated, so the thermal solutions must also be better. According to Gigabyte, the AORUS Waterforce Xs are designed to perfectly handle the heat generated by the most demanding next-generation processors, and of course, they are compatible with all current AMD and Intel processor sockets.

The diameter of the tubes has been increased to 7.8mm (from 5.1mm), increasing liquid flow by 37% and allowing heat to dissipate faster and more efficiently. The pump has been fitted with a new ceramic shaft that provides better wear resistance and anti-corrosion capabilities, allowing for longer life and greater durability compared to a conventional metal shaft.

Conventional ball-bearing fans are efficient and durable, but they make too much noise at high speed. To provide a quieter solution, the AORUS Waterforce X Series incorporate fans with bearings with nanographene lubricant that reduce noise generated at high speed by 15% by reducing friction on the fan motor. In addition, the fan blades have been modified to perfectly match the radiator structure and obtain the best dissipation capacity with the minimum noise generated.

As we have already said before, one of the great novelties is the inclusion of an LCD screen that integrates innovative modes and custom settings including the exclusive Chibi Time and compatibility with MP4, GIF and JPG formats so that the user can customize it to their liking. For this, the pump integrates a micro SD slot (yes, you read that correctly) to load the files that the user wants. Of course, the device has multiple RGB modes configurable from the software.

Price and availability

AORUS has just announced these new AIO Waterforce X Series liquid cooling heatsinks, which will be available with 240, 280 and 360mm radiators only, but has not announced availability or pricing for now. However, if we stick to the precedents and the fact of the inclusion of the LCD screen, we will most likely be talking about products that in their top-of-the-range model reach 200 euros.

We should see them in stores in the coming weeks, because you already know how this is going: the manufacturer announces the availability of the product but this only means that they are already sending them to their suppliers, but then the shipment must arrive, the supplier will list it in their store, etc., so the process can easily take a couple of weeks.
