Lenovo's new LEGION series of Laptops plans to become users' first choice for work from home or long gaming sessions.
The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has hit the entire world since March 2020. The disease has not only forced people in any country to stay at home without the ability to leave, but this has also caused the economy generally stalls and businesses to require a complete digital transformation to keep running.
As the months passed, it became clear that everyone would need the Internet at home and also electronic equipment such as desktop computers or laptops to be able to work or play in this time of confinement. In this case, the former has always been the preferred choice of gamers for both, due to the ability and versatility when changing parts, but that could change.
Although one might think that laptops would lose their charm now that going out is dangerous because of the virus, in reality, the opposite is true. Not only could it be an investment in the future when the pandemic is over, but the need to work or play from anywhere is precisely what positions these devices above desktop devices.
In 2020, AMD announced its new Ryzen 4000-H series processors, a new generation of laptop processors that require higher speed, performance, and capable of withstanding any virtual overload. How true is this in practice? Let's find out.

The laptop gaming series Legion of Lenovo have always had high performance, features and usually are more affordable than the competition. The new Legion with Ryzen 4600H follows a similar ideology running on the new AMD Ryzen 5 4600H processor combined with 8GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 1650Ti graphics card.
The AMD Ryzen 5 is not the latest processor to be released on the world market, admittedly, but it does well with the price-performance ratio. The Ryzen 5 in this device offered optimal performance when performing everyday tasks and games. Even CPU- intensive games ran at a pretty decent speed, considering we were dealing with a laptop and not a PC as such.
Despite the GTX 1650Ti graphics, the laptop managed to run games like CyberPunk 2077, The Division 2, Shadow of Tomb Raider, and others without any issues. It is worth noting that esports players such as Dota 2, League of Legends, Valorant and others will find their best companion in this laptop. However, there were some problems demanding its maximum performance.

By connecting an HTC Cosmos Elite virtual reality device, some simple games like Fruit Ninja and Superhot run decently without requiring a lot of FPS. However, Phasmophobia, Half Life: Alyx, Audica, and other higher-performance games do require a more powerful architecture to function properly.
This laptop has a screen Full HD of 15.6 inches with a good quality screen and high refresh rate. These gaming laptops are required to offer high-end internals like good cooling and additional software features. The LEGION Laptop has all of this and more.
Regarding cooling, at no time (except when trying to play in VR) does the laptop get extremely hot. It has large ventilation holes and a thermal mechanism that offers different ventilation settings. It is efficient and does not make any type of noise, so it does not bother when using it.

Without a doubt, one of the best features of this laptop is that it has several connectors located on the back of it. This allows for better organization of cables and not worrying about tripping over any of them while your desk fills up with other things while playing or working.
This Legion Laptop comes with a very aesthetic backlit keyboard, and the keys feel solid and offer good feedback when pressed. For a gaming laptop, the speakers sound clear and crisp, although they aren't as powerful when turning up the maximum volume. In the end, performance is prioritized more, so gamers are expected to connect their own headsets than to use speakers.
In short, the LEGION Laptop with Ryzen 5 4600H is a good choice for gamers and the general public who use their computer as a third hand. In a market that is constantly updated, it might not be the one with the best of the latest range components, but it is more than enough for the games that have been published to the date of this review.
