The internal system of CD Projekt, the parent company of CDPR, was hacked some time ago, resulting in the theft of company data. In the face of the threat of hackers, officials did not choose to bow their heads, so hackers began to sell the stolen data online.
At present, CD Projekt is working hard to prevent the stolen codes of games such as "Cyberpunk 2077" and "The Witcher 3" from spreading on the Internet. One method they adopted is to issue DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) notices.
According to Vice’s report, on February 18, two Twitter users received a DMCA notice that their tweets that posted codes related to Gwent Card of the Witcher on the Internet have been deleted, and at least one of the tweets contains A link to download the source code of the game.
According to previous official information, the game-related data stolen from CD Projekt this time involves "Cyberpunk 2077", "The Witcher's Gwent Card", and "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" Release version".
