ASUS is a brand well known for its quality products linked to the gaming segment. However, in addition to computers, the company already has several gaming smartphones launched on the market, through the ROG line. Soon we will be able to count on another model, this time the new ASUS ROG Phone 5.
The gaming smartphone will be announced on March 10 and may have a partnership with Chinese Tencent.
Electronic games are increasingly evolved and adapted to different devices. With the appearance of smartphones, games have also started to have another way where players can enjoy this entertainment anywhere and anytime.
For this reason, phones dedicated to the gaming world have also started to be created, with better performance and specifications to offer the best experience to gamers. One of the lines of these gaming smartphones is the ROG of Taiwanese ASUS.
ASUS ROG Phone 5 to be announced on March 10
The Taiwanese manufacturer is already preparing the launch of what will be the successor to ROG Phone 3. Through a publication on the popular Chinese social network Weibo, ASUS confirmed that the next smartphone of the gamer line is the ROG Phone 5 that will be announced next March 10th.
According to ASUS, the new line will then be designated ASUS ROG Phone 5. And if you are wondering why the brand skipped the number 4, this is due to the fact that, in Chinese pronunciation, the number sounds similar to the word 'death'. In addition, it is also considered an unlucky number in Asian culture. Other brands, like OnePlus, did the same.
In addition, the company also launched a page for the event that currently features a countdown clock for the ad.
In the publication, the manufacturer also celebrates the three years of partnership with the Chinese giant Tencent. In this way, the new ROG Phone 5 will have a special edition developed in partnership with its companies.
Possible specifications
According to some recent leaks from TENAA, the smartphone regulatory body in China, this new ASUS smartphone is expected to feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. In addition, it should feature 16 GB of RAM and 512 internal storage.
