Zack Snyder saw Wonder Woman more brutal than it turned out in the end

During an interview with ComicBook Debate, Zach Snyder sat in front of an unidentified photograph of Wonder Woman. After the interview, the director explained what was happening in the image.

At first, users noticed that the superheroine had a bunch of severed heads in her hand, and her allies were fighters from different countries. Snyder explained that Diana was captured during the Crimean War of 1853-1856. Prior to this, the photo was not published anywhere.

This photo served as a stub on the set of Batman v Superman when the director did not yet know during what period Wonder Woman would unfold. The director even then thought that Diana would be more brutal than it turned out in the end.

With the appointment of Patty Jenkins to direct the solo film, it was decided that Wonder Woman would unfold in World War I. After that, the plug in "Batman v Superman" was changed to another.

In the same interview, Snyder said he had no plans to make films in the DCU after Justice League. In his opinion, the universe has gone too far from its intended direction.

The director's cut of Justice League will air on HBO Max in March 2021. The version of Snyder's film will be as close to his idea as possible.
