World's First Wi-Fi 6E Gaming Router Price Over $ 500


The cost of the world's first gaming-grade router with support for the Wi-Fi 6E standard has been announced: we are talking about the ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 device from ASUS, preliminary information about the characteristics of which was disclosed in September last year.

Recall that the Wi-Fi 6E standard assumes the use of a 6 GHz frequency band in addition to 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz. Wi-Fi 6E technology is designed to provide high performance in very busy places.

Now the speed characteristics of the ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 have become known. In the 2.4 GHz range, the data transfer rate reaches 1148 Mbps, in the 5 GHz range - 4804 Mbps, in the 6 GHz range - 4804 Mbps.

The router is equipped with a processor with four processing cores (1.8 GHz) and 1 GB of RAM. Eight external antennas are provided.


In terms of network interfaces, there is one RJ45 10/100/1000 WAN port, four RJ45 10/100/1000 LAN ports, and one 2.5G WAN / LAN connector. In addition, two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports are available.

It is reported that sales of the router will begin before the end of January. It can be purchased for $ 550.
