WhatsApp will soon get rid of its main flaw. A full-fledged client for PC will appear and it will be possible to work on several devices simultaneously, Beta will be available soon

The WhatsApp team continues to work on eliminating one of the main drawbacks of the messenger - the inability to simultaneously launch the application on several devices and the lack of a full-fledged stand-alone client for PC and in the web interface.

According to the thematic resource WABetaInfo, at the moment the developers are introducing this long-awaited feature into the beta version of the WhatsApp Web web client. It is not yet available for users participating in testing, but it will appear soon.

When the feature is launched for WhatsApp Web Beta, there will be a new setting for connecting additional devices in the WhatsApp mobile app for Android. As we can see in the screenshot, after connecting, WhatsApp Web or the WhatsApp desktop client will not require a constant smartphone connection to work. Thus, the desktop client and the WhatsApp web client will become independent.

Recall that now the messenger is rigidly tied to a specific device and phone number - instead of using login and password authorization, this would allow the messenger to be launched on any device at the same time.

WhatsApp users have dreamed of real multi-device support since the launch of the messenger in 2009. Synchronization between devices with simultaneous WhatsApp operation is simply not provided. Currently, WhatsApp only allows one device to connect to an account. Even the desktop version of WhatsApp can only work in conjunction with a running application on a smartphone, "mirroring" it.
