The genDesign website has shown a brief illustration of its new title.
It's been five years since the release of The Last Guardian exclusively for PlayStation 4, and since then we have not heard from the next genDesign project, the studio of creative Fumigo Ueda. Now, after a period of silence, the developer studio has celebrated the arrival of 2021 on its website with an image that includes the director's three past works at Japan Studio: ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian. But in that image, which we will show you next, it shows an illustration of something new.
Next game
On the genDesign website, we can see a silhouette of number 1 that appears in an image of what would be its next title, this time published by Epic Games. In it we can see a young man in an open and natural landscape with an aesthetic similar to his previous titles, although it does not give an idea of its playability; If we are guided by Ueda's background, it will have puzzles and exploration.

Little else is known about the game that Epic Games Publishing will launch, a new multiplatform label that, in addition to publishing these games on different platforms, will also finance 100% of the projects, maintaining a 50/50 profit sharing. Epic Games will offer full creative freedom and full control over the rights to the games they develop and will bear the development costs, from developer salaries to marketing expenses.
