Acquire studio president Takuma Endo gave an interview to Famitsu magazine in which he spoke about the team's plans. In particular, he stated that he would like to tackle a new part of Tenchu stealth action game for PS5.
Endo noted that this is difficult to do now since the rights to the series were bought by FromSoftware back in 2004. To tackle the sequel to Tenchu, Acquire will have to strike a deal with the developers of Dark Souls.
Previously, fans believed that the universe could soon return due to the fact that the Stealth Assassin trademark was registered in 2018. It turned out this was done simply because of the elapsed time. Although Endo called it "foundation" for the future.
Acquire plans to launch an indie brand that will release new and unique games in a short time. Endo hopes to launch the division and its first game by the end of 2021.
Acquire will also publish a gladiatorial combat simulator called Gladiux. Its development is still ongoing.
