Take-Two has officially dropped out of the bid to purchase Codemasters. The publisher was the first to make its offer and announced the agreement, but EA offered better terms a little later. Take-Two is not going to get involved in the fight.
At the same time, the publisher remains interested in acquiring other studios and will continue to study the market for interesting options.
Codemasters should now be part of EA's internal studios. The publisher now has a wide range of different racing series: Need For Speed, Project Cars, OnRush, DiRT, GRiD and F1. The deal should be closed in the first quarter of this year. The deal will amount to $ 1.2 billion.
