According to rumors, the working title of the cartoon is Mortal Kombat 3. It is not yet very clear whether it will have anything to do with the third part of the video game franchise or the upcoming feature film.
There are no plot details, but Cabal, Kira, Tremor, Cobra and Sub-Zero may appear in the animated film. The latter will not be presented as a seasoned fighter, but as a pacifist, who will be about 60-70 years old. Most likely, he will act as a mentor to one of the main characters.
